“The perspective I’ve taken from this project is how you can come from completely different worlds, but you can find common ground”
-Archie, Chief Officer M/Y Garcon
About the project
Nearly 75% of Ghanaians do not have access to a toilet, meaning they have to resort to open defecation. This was the case for Zaazi, a village in the north where disease, concern for safety and lack of dignity were just some of the factors affecting the 750 residents who did not have access to sanitation.
Working alongside the community, as well as our partner NGOs Corps Africa Ghana and Movement On The Ground, crew from three yachts helped build a toilet for each household in the village.
This project was supported by the yachting industry MB92 Barcelona, Evolution Yacht Agents and Rooster Recruitment.
