About the project

The most powerful earthquake in Morocco’s history claimed 3000 lives, displaced half a million people and destroyed entire villages in the Atlas Mountains.

Six weeks after it struck, three crew from M/Y Sanam were on the ground, volunteering with a non-profit to help with the rebuild.

In three weeks, the crew built toilets in five villages, giving more than a thousand people access to proper sanitation. With the support of their friends, family and yacht owner, the Sanam crew raised €23,000 to continue helping further humanitarian projects.
